The entire network of Bureau
of Statistics
is headed by Director (BPS-20) who is assisted by three Additional Directors
(BPS-19). They are supported by 9 Deputy Directors (BPS-18) and one Senior
System Analyst (BPS-18). At lower formation Bureau employs 12 Assistant
Directors, 6 Programmers, 79 Statistical Officers and other technical
and ministerial staff. The overall strength of technical and ministerial
staff stands to 454 personnel.

In order to collect data from field, undertake censuses and surveys and
prepare reliable database for smaller geographical area for preparation
of regional micro plans, Bureau has set up 4 Divisional, 12 District and
25 Sub-Divisional Field Offices (Total 41) throughout province of Sindh.
Each Divisional Field Office is headed by a Deputy Director (BPS-18) who
is assisted by one or two Assistant Directors, three to five Statistical
Officers and other supporting staff whereas District / Sub-Divisional
Field Office is headed by Statistical Officer (BPS-17) along with one
Statistical Assistant and other supporting Staff
